artREMEDY is a research informed training curriculum. This work is grounded in a combination of our 17 years of experience providing arts engagement to systems-impacted individuals and communities with cutting-edge findings in the emerging field of Arts and Health research. 


artREMEDY consists of

  • Building and facilitating a research-informed training curriculum

  • Providing customized organizational consulting that includes assessment and strategy development for best practices and staff training

A few key topics we address: 

  • Defining trauma and understanding its impact on individual, community, and population health

  • Trauma-informed and strengths-based principles and standards of practice

  • Nuts and bolts of creating trauma-informed, strengths-based environments and organizations, including addressing accessibility, inclusion, culture-centeredness

  • Arts engagement as health behavior: exploring arts and health research findings

  • Wellness for the worker: Navigating secondary and tertiary trauma with arts engagement


UPCOMING TRAINING DATES

In collaboration with the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA), the artREMEDY team will be facilitating two upcoming foundational skills workshops. These workshops are primarily intended for ArtsWA grantees, but others may register if space is available.
